My exciting CVS finds
I apologize for my lack of writing the past few days. I haven’t had anything too exciting to talk about. My weekend was interesting, Lexi spent the night at her aunts house (2 hours away) so Eugene and I could have some time alone. We were supposed to go on a date, instead we chose to go grocery shopping! Our fridge and freezer is full and the only things we will need to purchase for the rest of the month is milk and OJ.
Last night I took my weekly adventure to CVS. I was so excited when I left there. I know I could have got better deals but I decided to buy what I’d use instead of what wouldn’t be used as quickly. In the end I had $108.99 worth of products and I paid a mere $25.62 for them (plus I have $15 in ECBs). Not bad considering $12.88 of that I had already spent on Toilet paper. Let me explain.
I told you we went grocery shopping, well we decided to just stock up on toilet paper so we bought 24 rolls of Charmin at Walmart, which cost $12 before tax. Once I saw the awesome deals at CVS- which included toilet paper, and I realized I could get the same amount of toilet paper, 8 rolls of paper towels, 3 boxes of tissues and a bottle of dish soap for the same amount of cash I spent on the toilet paper (plus get $10 ECB’s back) , I quickly returned the toilet paper to walmart.
So to me I look at it as I only spent $ 12.74 out of pocket.
There is all the stuff I got, 24 rolls of toilet paper, 8 rolls of paper towels, 3 boxes of tissues, one bottle of dish soap, 2 fun sizes bags of candy, children’s Tylenol, Children’s Tylenol plus cold, Children’s dimetap, robitussin, dayquil, Advil cold and sinus, Tylenol sinus congestion and pain, Tylenol sore throat, Cover girl foundation, bronzer and two lip gloss thingys. not bad.
Once my walgreen’s gift card comes in with my Mail in rebates from last month, I’ll be headed there to get a lot of free stuff! You should check out the deals Beth got!
Just a quick comment that has nothing to do with CVS or Walgreen’s- Lexi has figured out how to turn the computer off while I’m working. You don’t know how glad I am that Wordpress automatically saves as you type.
