MyBlogSpark and Kix have given me an opportunity to test out some Kix, and let one of my readers try some out too!

I don’t know about you guys, but I like Kix, it was also one of the first and few things my picky, Wheat allergy daughter loved, we always had them in our house and brought them with us everywhere we went too.

Cereal is one of the things we eat most for breakfast around here and I like to keep it at least semi healthy. I don’t really fall for the newest advertising that Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks are healthy and I think it’s crazy that they are trying to claim to be good for your kids.  (Not that there is anything wrong with having a bowl of sugary cereal every once and a while, we eat it here from time to time… I’m a huge fan of Peanut butter captain crunch…)

The “Kid-Tested Mother-Approved^®”cereal is made with whole grain corn and is an excellent source of iron. It also is a good source of calcium, fiber, and Vitamins C and D. Original Kix has no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. It’s very hard to find Wheat free (and gluten free) cereals,  Although Kix is gluten free it’s not manufactured in a completely GF place so they don’t label it Gluten free just in case there is some cross contamination.
Kix and Myblogspark not only gave me a box of regular kix, they also gave me a box of honey kix, a 24 piece floor puzzle (which my children have been playing with for hours), fun learn-to-count flashcards on a ring to keep them all together, a sippy cup and a portable snack container- perfect for bringing your kix on the road!

I am so excited about this giveaway!! I came home tonight to a box on my door step and quickly remembered the giveaway. This is by far my favorite giveaway that I’ve done!

I don’t know about you, but I always want a snack at least once a day (normally twice!). I have to admit I wasn’t too fond of the flavor, it did have a nice, rich creamy taste, and was sweet (I could taste a bit of the artificial sweetners, but I normally do not use any, so the taste of them stands out to me It wasn’t overwhelming like some things though.) with 100 calories it is definitely a smart choice for an afternoon snack! I think next time I’ll try the chocolate raspberry!

The Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken Pasta was delicious- (That’s what my husband said anyway I couldn’t try it because I have to avoid wheat). Even Lexi liked it, which is impressive. It took around 20 minutes to make, all I had to add was the meat (and a little oil and milk).
